In addition to writing longer, third-person contemporaries as Jess Vonn, I’ve also started writing short alpha romances under a second pen name: Jessica Vee. Available for $0.99, or free through Kindle Unlimited, these are written for a very specific genre, which include things like:
- Half-naked men on the covers
- High heat levels and salty language
- Alternating first-person perspective
- A focus on traditional alpha males (firefighters, cops, ranchers, etc.)
- A slightly darker/grittier tone
- Being quick to read (~1-2 hour reads)
- Having guaranteed happily ever after, with instances of insta-love and/or insta-lust
And they … um … they cut right to the chase (if by “the chase” you mean “getting it on.”)
